Now that I am caught up I am gonna move to a weeklyish format that will update the progress on the build.Parts have begun to arrive: It’s like Xmas!
Rear 9″ Axle
Rear Axle was ordered a while ago as well, it showed up way faster than I expected. Now the guys over at Scott’s hot rods recommended Moser as an axle provider, they could also sell me a setup as well, but the Canadian dollar is in the toilet and bringing that price part across the border brings a hefty duty cost and dollar conversion so I went looking for a Canadian supplier that could sell me a Moser setup.

What did I order, with the help of various people
- Ford 9” fabricated rear
- 4:11 True trac third member
- 35 spline axles
- 12” Wilwood disc brakes.
This thing a beautiful….
Now it’s time to build my Triangulated 4 link suspension, what could go wrong.
Rear Truss
Ordered a truss from Barnes 4wd. Heavy duty 9” truss and some sweet fish plates. When I finally weld this frame solid these will come in handy.

Tri four link setup from TMR customs (Great Canadian company.)
Various parts from ballistic
Shock towers, shock mounts, I like that the towers aren’t branded with the fabricators logo, if I wanted logos, I would put them on myself. Ballistic sells a great product and if you want to brand your stuff they sell nifty little skulls you can weld on where you want.
Shock mounts Various link mount brackets from Artec. Why you ask… well the first set of brackets that came from TMR required some welding and since I am a complete beginner, I just set the plates together, tacked it all together and welded it up. In the morning I realized that none of the joints fit, after spending an hour trying to bend the or grind bits off o chalked it up to learning experience and went looking to order a new set. TMR stuff is great just requires more skill than I currently have, Artecs brackets still require welding but they are mostly ready to go so they hold their shape better. This set I will bolt in the joints and tack/weld as much as I can before taking them apart and final welding them. Lesson learned!
SEATS
Its a little early to start thinking about seats but I figured I could order them early and check that off my list, at first I was gonna go with some fancy rat rod bomber seats, super cool and bad ass looking.
I showed my wife and she pointed they probably aren’t that comfortable to sit in for hours and if you do take the truck off road, your gonna beat the hell outta yourself in those seats. So I went looking for alternatives.
I found these sweet suspensions seats by Corbeau, these are Low back Baja suspension seats.

The cab is super tight so the problem was they would just just fit side by side. I decided to take a chance and ordered them anyways. They have also arrived and look amazing in the truck. (not installed just test fit)
I will have to see what happens when I have to put the trans tunnel in but hoping I can make it all work. They are comfortable and look great.
